Why We Are Anonymous
We have got two little kids and one big mouth (this blog). Staying anonymous lets us be brutally honest about money, career frustrations, and the stuff most people only whisper about at dinner parties. No coworkers reading over our shoulder. No family drama about that post where we said we might sell the house. Anonymity protects our kids and frees our voice.

The Pilot
Production manufacturing manager by day. Spreadsheet enthusiast, 3D printing tinkerer, and the one who will not shut up about compound interest. Grew up without a financial playbook. Building one now, live, in public, mistakes and all.
The Co-Pilot
Nurse. Schedule flexibility advocate. The one who asks but will we actually be happy when The Pilot starts a sentence with if we just optimize. She keeps this operation grounded in reality.
Lil Spark
Toddler. Professional chaos agent. Specializes in destroying budget plans by needing new shoes every three months and demanding snacks that cost more per ounce than premium gasoline.
Baby Spark
The newest crew member. No opinions on index funds yet. Strong feelings about 3 AM wake-ups. Adding a second kid to the FIRE equation changed everything, and we are writing about all of it. Best smiles you have ever seen.
Why This Blog Exists
Most FIRE content is written by single tech workers or couples with no kids and outsized salaries. That was not us. We started Rolling With Fire because we wanted a FIRE community for normal families juggling daycare costs, career decisions, and the nagging feeling that there has to be a better way.
